Avi’s lifelong passion for dogs started early, growing up in a household where dogs outnumbered humans. He earned his certification from the Animal Behavior College in 2012 and has since spent over a decade strengthening the bonds between dogs and their humans. Avi specializes in addressing leash reactivity, while also excelling in areas such as basic and advanced obedience, agility, and trick training.
After moving to Washington, D.C., in 2008, Avi managed a dog walking company, which cemented his dedication to a career working with dogs. He went on to join Spot On Dog Training, where he honed his expertise in canine behavior, focusing on rehabilitating rescues and mentoring budding trainers.
Now, as the Training and Enrichment Director at District Dogs Park View, Avi oversees programs designed to enhance the lives of both dogs and their owners. From teaching practical skills to curbing challenging behaviors, Avi combines compassionate training techniques with a deep understanding of canine behavior to help every dog thrive.
He’s proud to lead a team committed to providing top-notch care and education, ensuring District Dogs remains a trusted resource for the local community.
