Greetings District Dogs Family,
I want to take a moment to express how grateful I am to have joined District Dogs! It’s been just four months since I became part of this wonderful community, and I am excited to share some updates and further enhancements we’re making to better serve you and your pups.
Sprucing Up Shaw
We’re excited to announce that Connie Plater, our exceptional Operations Manager, will be stationed at our Shaw location for a while to conduct a comprehensive review of our programs, training, and facilities. Connie is dedicated to ensuring we deliver the high-quality services you expect from District Dogs, and her leadership will be a valuable asset as we make improvements.
Not to worry, though—Perfecto Melgar isn’t going far! He’s helping to manage our Navy Yard location while Tim McGuire is on leave, and he’ll be working closely with the team there in the future.
New Partnership with Homeward Trails Animal Rescue
We’re thrilled to partner with Homeward Trails Animal Rescue to help foster some of their lovable pups at our National Landing and Alexandria locations. By fostering these dogs, we’re helping to free up space in their shelter, allowing them to assist even more animals and giving these pups a greater chance at finding forever homes!
We’re excited to share that both Callie (pictured above) and Suzie have been adopted! And Hazel, who started out as a very shy girl, has moved into a foster-to-adopt home
