Harry Barker was founded almost by accident in 1997 by professional model Carol Perkins. During her convalescence from Cushing’s Disease, Carol occupied her time sewing dog clothes which became very popular among her friends. It wasn’t long before her hobby expanded into a full-time operation selling a wider range of eco-friendly products for dogs. Today, Harry Barker is a successful nonprofit organization whose mission statement is aimed at improving the lives of dogs and people alike.
District Dogs is proud to offer a range of delicious dog treats from Harry Barker, including peanut butter biscuits and bacon jerky, at our retail space. The treats are baked with all-natural ingredients grown in the USA. Each colorful tin is hand-packaged by people with disabilities as part of a skills training program, and a portion of all proceeds are donated to Canines for Veterans. District Dogs also carries several Harry Barker dog toys which are crafted from 100% recycled components. Next time you’re in the neighborhood, come take a look!
