As 2024 comes to a close, we’re looking back on a year full of growth, community engagement, and meaningful impact here at District Dogs. One highlight that stands out is our partnership with Homeward Trails Animal Rescue, which has been an incredible opportunity to help rescue dogs find the love and care they deserve.
Supporting Rescue Dogs, One Paw at a Time
Since we began this collaboration in October, District Dogs has fostered 15 Homeward Trails rescue dogs, providing them with daycare, boarding, and grooming services. From Hazel’s happy tail wags to Wonder Woman’s boundless energy, these pups have brought so much joy to our team and clients.
We’re thrilled to share that 12 of these dogs found their forever homes this year! Watching them leave for their new lives with loving families has been a heartwarming reminder of why we do what we do.
2024: A Year of Community
This partnership with Homeward Trails is just one of the ways we’ve reconnected with our communities in DC, Alexandria, and Arlington. In total, we participated in 45 events this year, from farmers markets to non-profit fundraisers, embracing every chance to support the neighborhoods we’re proud to serve.
But the work with Homeward Trails holds a special place in our hearts. These rescue pups remind us that every wagging tail has a story, and we’re honored to help write the next chapter for so many deserving dogs.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we step into 2025, our partnership with Homeward Trails will continue, and we’re excited to foster even more rescue dogs. We hope to help many more pups find their forever homes and give our clients the opportunity to meet these lovable dogs.
