District Dogs is excited to announce the hire of our new General Manager, Tim McGuire. Tim will be managing our Park View daycare center located at 3210 Georgia Ave NW. He will be very helpful as District Dogs continues to grow and expand to our second location in Navy Yard later this year.
Originally from New Mexico, Tim developed his love for animals caring for the family German Shepherd, six parakeets, and tropical fish. His first job in DC was an undercover special police officer where he developed an interest in law enforcement. This led him to become a DC Police officer for MPDC. While serving in this position, he purchased a pet supply business called Pet Pantry in the Van Ness neighborhood in DC. He eventually left the police department to focus on his passion of running a pet business.
Tim has amassed two decades worth of experience in the pet care and pet supply business. He has over eight years of dog daycare and boarding operational management experience. He has also been a care technician at Friendship Hospital for Animals and has grown and managed two pet supply stores. Tim’s vast experience in many areas will be a valuable asset to District Dogs.
